SCIENCE NERD
ok just so you get an idea of how much of a science nerd I am, let me give you a little background on whats going on. Ok I took biodiversity first semester and the teacher was Dr. Burks and after the class she gave out I thought a general email for anyone who wanted to do work under her freshman have very limited amounts they can do, I responded thinking I'ld probably be like lab management in high school.
Well she sent another email asking if me and Valerie were still interested and if so did we have any time this (being a few weeks ago) week. Well I didn't know if she wanted a specific time or just a drop by and never ended up going whoops. Well she's in the water aerobics class in the mornign one of the two not old people, and so she was like oh are you still interested there's a meeting 11 today (this was Tuesday).
So I went 10:50 and she's already in the middle of explaining stuff whoops 6 in the morning is to early to say the right time.
So anyhow I am super excited that I get to play with apple snails and need all types of animal training and safe chemical training and oh it's gonna be awesome, plus to make thiings better I get payed for it. Yeah it's awesome I mean my heart literally must have doubled in pace learning I get to play with apple snail eggs. Which are invading houston for those who didn't know.
and here's her last email to the lab peoples:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you all for attending the lab meeting on Tuesday and I am glad
that you are interested in the lab. I'm sorry that it was mostly me talking "at you"
for our first meeting but I wanted to make sure that I covered several items.
1. For everyone, please "check" that you have read through the Hazardous
Waste Training.
2. For "new" individuals, complete Animal Care Training. Jessie made copies
of the quiz. Complete and return to me.
3. Early assignments of work:
-------Egg dissolution problem - - - Jessie and Scott.
This means that you need to be looking in the lab every day for new clutches
that are laid. If other people see clutches, please email me or Jessie (carrierj)
or Scott together (manusovs). Before you start working to dissolve the clutch without
chemical means, weigh it. We will need to keep track of the eggs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm so excited and can't wait to start work ok sorry no life story probably makes yall happy and here's quote of the day.
School is the training you get before you need it, experience is the training you get after you need it.
by the one and only Scott M
hehe yep it's my quote came up with it today rather proud of it actually.
ok well ya'll are amazing all one of you that read this. come on please some one else read it, cuz writing things for people who won't read it, will definately make them do it.
